ALDO M. MARTINEZ

Aldo Martinez is the Co-founder of Lumiere Health International, a boutique healthcare consultancy specializing in high-impact health equity initiatives. The firm works with hospital systems, law firms, research institutions, and healthcare-related businesses to drive innovative solutions in healthcare. Lumiere Health International has achieved a remarkable 100% success rate in federal court on behalf of its clients and has led policy analysis and evaluations presented to the U.S. Congress.
Aldo’s extensive experience sits at the intersection of management consulting, financial services, law, healthcare, and public policy at Big 4 and MBB firms. He is a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies worldwide. At Bayer Pharmaceuticals, he played a key role in leading the company's top 20 global strategic initiatives and was instrumental in the $62.5 billion M&A transaction with Monsanto, where he led end-to-end due diligence processes.
Prior to his work at Bayer, Aldo was pivotal in the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in Washington, D.C., where his efforts built business and technical ecosystems that shaped public policy and monetary regulation. Through enforcement actions and policies, the CFPB has injected approximately $12 billion back into communities and the economy nationwide.
Aldo holds an MBA/MPA from Harvard University, earned through the joint master’s program at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School, with a focus on strategy and healthcare policy. He graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in International Finance and Aerospace Engineering. He also serves on the board of directors at NextStep Portfolio, advising on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing, social enterprise, risk management, and public policy. He enjoys sports, arts, traveling, cooking/sharing Latin food with family and friends, and dancing merengue, bachata, and salsa.

A first-generation Guatemalan-American, Lenica has built her career at the intersection of frontier technology, policy, and social impact.
Lenica currently serves as the Director of Consulting Services at The Wicks Group (TWG), where she leads high-impact international aviation engagements focused on strengthening regulatory systems and institutional capacity across emerging markets. At TWG, she advises foreign civil aviation authorities and ministries on safety oversight, regulatory compliance, and market access, supporting projects in countries such as Panama, India, and Mongolia to enable sustainable aviation growth and global connectivity.
She previously served as Director of Global Aviation Regulatory Affairs at Zipline International, where she secured global regulatory approvals to scale drone-based medical delivery systems, expanding access to life-saving healthcare in underserved regions. Prior to Zipline, she was an International Project Manager at ICON, where she led the development of the world’s first 3D-printed neighborhood in southern Mexico—advancing innovative housing solutions for vulnerable communities.
Lenica’s experience spans management consulting, advanced aviation systems, and international development, with a focus on deploying emerging technologies in complex regulatory environments. She is recognized for her ability to work across government, private sector, and multilateral stakeholders to unlock market access and scale transformative infrastructure solutions.
She holds an A.B. in Romance Languages and Literatures with a secondary in Archaeology from Harvard University and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Stanford University, reflecting a strong foundation in global studies and policy. While at Harvard, she focused her research and studies on supporting repatriation efforts and community advocacy initiatives for genocide victims and surivors in Guatemala while playing as a founding athlete for the Harvard Women’s Rugby Varsity Program. She also represented Guatemala internationally as a member of the Guatemala Women’s Rugby 7s National Team.
During her free time, she enjoys traveling to new countries, cooking/sharing meals with family and friends, and watching women’s sports.

ALEJANDRO LOZANO

Alejandro Lozano holds a degree in Political Science from Tec de Monterrey, where he also studied for a master's degree in Public Management.
Alejandro Lozano's career has been enriched by his international experiences. He has served as a volunteer at the UN and Organization of American States summits and the Mexican Embassies in Poland, Argentina, and the United Kingdom.
In 2012, he won the elections to serve as a legislator in the Congress of San Luis Potosi. During this time, he led several initiatives, including the elimination of vehicle tenure, the first state law in Mexico on cybercrimes, the new economic development state law, and the establishment of the first animal protection law in the state.
In 2015, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed Alejandro as head of Political Affairs at the Mexican Embassy in the Vatican. This period was marked by the historic Pope Francis's visit to Mexico and the anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations. In 2019, he resigned from this position to pursue his master’s degree in public administration at Harvard University. During his MC/MPA studies, he served as VP of International Students at the Kennedy School Student Government.
Alejandro Lozano has studied public policy postgraduate studies at Oxford, Harvard, University of London, and the London School of Economics. In 2016, the governments of Mexico and Singapore honored him with the 'Singapore Cooperation Award'.
Currently, Alejandro Lozano serves as the Vice President of the Harvard University Latino Alumni Association. He is also a partner and general director of a Wellness Center in Mexico and works as a consultant in the United States and Mexico.

Elmer received his undergraduate degree in Sociology with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, Rights from Harvard College in 2020. He is a Learning and Communications Manager at the Durfee Foundation in Los Angeles. Past experience includes work at the Center for Effective Philanthropy, Warner Bros., and the Harvard Kennedy School. As an undergraduate, he worked at the Office of the President, was a Learning Lab Undergraduate Fellow at the Bok Center, a Team Leader for FYRE, a board member for Act on a Dream, and a Mather House Representative for the Senior Class Committee.

ELMER VIVAS

Kilbert is a Harvard College graduate with a concentration in sociology and a secondary in language and linguistic theory. He often explored his sociolinguistic interests through classes, culminating in a senior thesis about Dominican Spanish. He was also involved in various Latino student organizations, notably being president of Dominican Student Association and a performer for Harvard Candela. He looks forward to exploring post-grad opportunities.

Maria Dueñas Lopez is a public narrative and community organizing coach with Leading Change Network. She is also the founder of her own practice, dedicated to capacity-building and teaching young leaders the craft of storytelling as a leadership practice, so they have the tools to lead creative, effective, and sustainable campaigns. She is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, where she earned a Master of Theological Studies and a Certificate in Religion and Public Life with a focus on community organizing.
Maria has led workshops for nonprofits, city government initiatives, and electoral campaigns. Her work is rooted in values-based communication and a commitment to civic engagement and social change.

MARIA DUEÑAS LOPEZ

Julia Antuerpem is a Brazilian writer with a background in screenwriting for Disney Channel Latin America, Globo, and Netflix. She earned a Master of Liberal Arts in Creative Writing and Literature from Harvard in 2023. Currently, she is an Associate Creative Director at Klick Health in Canada, overseeing creative direction for all Latin American markets. Julia is also pursuing a second Master’s degree in History at Harvard.

Christian Carvajal is a Colombian American documentary filmmaker based in New York City. He simultaneously works in the nonprofit world in a Development role.
His interests lie within the Latinx community, human rights, and themes of migration and memory. He has associate produced feature-length films that have premiered at the 2022 and 2023 Tribeca Film Festivals, Sheffield Doc Fest, CPH:DOX, and been distributed on PBS.
Past experience includes work at Business Insider, a true-crime series for Investigation Discovery, and a shark show for NatGeo. Christian received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Harvard College in 2015.

JOHN GREG GOMEZ

John Greg Gomez is an educated autodidact whose artistic and professional career has spanned both sides of the brain.
A native of Los Angeles, John Greg was born to a family of artists, a number of whom were instrumental in the pre-millennial mural arts movement in Los Angeles. He began study at Harvard College in the Visual and Environmental Studies concentration, but sidetracked into studying Psychology with noted thought leaders from industrial psychology, mindfulness, and art therapy, counting among his mentors the first woman to receive tenure at Harvard University’s Dept. Of Psychology.
Upon graduation, John Greg began a career in film and television, first at Fox TV, then with Warner Bros. Thereafter he launched Movida, an agile non-profit championing greater inclusion in the commercial arts. There he worked with numerous emerging creative talents in theatre, film and television, including Josefina Lopez, the award-winning playwrite known best for her Real Women Have Curves. With the support of the Norman Lear Foundation, Movida began an annual filmmaker retreat to the Sundance Film Festival that has continued in various iterations to this day.
In addition to his work in film and television, John Greg has also created art installations that have been displayed at locations such as the San Diego Media Arts Center, and has assisted with large public works projects undertaken by his renowned artist father, Ignacio Gomez.
In recent years, John Greg has begun an informal immersive, game, and experience design practice, which has resulted in innovative and diverse playful experiences that have been showcased at IndieCade: The International Festival of Games; Come Out and Play San Francisco; Come Out and Play New York; and, the inaugural education-meets-play-meets-tech STEAM Carnival, which was launched by Brent Bushnell, the son of the founder of Atari.
John Greg has been an integral member of two first place Augmented Reality hack-a-thon teams—one during a contest hosted by EPSON, and another during a contest hosted by Daqri. He is currently developing new projects aimed at expanding what’s technologically possible in story, art, and play.

At the age of 23, Gustavo launched his first education organization, rapidly expanding it, employing 120 educators, and serving thousands of students across 50 school districts. He then led a non-profit focused on youth leadership development. In 2018, Gustavo founded his second education company, Kern Tutoring. The organization provides after-school and day-time intervention services for school districts across California. His project, EDGE, provides individualized academic coaching to support fostered youth earn high school diplomas. Gustavo is the founder of Kern Tutoring, based in his hometown of Bakersfield, California.
The organization provides local districts with after-school and day-time intervention services. Having launched his first company at the age of 23 and rapidly scaling it to employ 120 paraprofessionals, he understands the challenges Latino business owners must overcome.
Today, Gustavo is an award-wining leader, entrepreneur, and educator. He is renowned for his creativity, fostering connections, and unwavering commitment to uplift communities. His work has focused on enrichment programs and leadership development. He empowers non-profit, business, and school leaders around the globe using the power of coaching. He is a Public Narrative and Data Wise coach. Gustavo received a Master of Education degree from Harvard. He will earn a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Harvard in May 2025. As a first-generation college graduate, Gustavo attributes his academic and professional success to educators and mentors who guided him on his journey. Joining the Harvard Latino Alumni Alliance is a continuation of his enduring commitment to ensure other Latinos and Latinas have access to resources and opportunities to pursue their passions and develop their talents. His work has earned him various recognitions including Bakersfield’s 20 under 40, Harvard’s Presidential Public Service Fellowship, Latinos for Education Board Fellowship, the Krinsky Entrepreneurship Fellowship, and Class Marshal at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
